Gratitude

Gratitude comes from Appreciation which is the best form of Love. Happiness is freedom from fear. Love conquers fear and give you a great source of power and strength to overcome it. Appreciation creates love. Gratitude creates Appreciation. Gratitude for all the blessings in your life will give you a foundation to handle life's ups and downs.

In the book "What Happy People Know", Dr. Dan Baker talks about appreciation by saying that, "It's a love that spreads outward and expects nothing in return". Dr. Baker further explains that "Appreciation asks for nothing, and gives everything". Appreciation will conquer fear. Happiness isn't about not having problems or sorrows. It's about having the ability to deal with life head on. Love gives you a source of power and strength in order to do that.

Dr. Baker continues, "No matter what happens in life, there's always something left to love, and the love that remains is always stronger than anything that goes against it".

To help you to develop more gratitude in your life, you can start a "Gratitude Journal". Start every day by writing the following words, "I am grateful for.." and finishing the sentence. You can also create a journal dedicated to a loved one, stating all the reason you are grateful for them. As you fill this journal, you can share it with them, and give it to them as a loving reminder of their place in your life.
